How do I get a new pass

We have been customers with Virgin Media for a very long time, started when it was Telewest!

My wife and I both have blueyonder.co.uk email accounts, which I set up years ago.  We used to be able to see these online but now I can only see my blueyonder emails after creating a Virgin Media O2 ID.

My wife can still access her blueyonder emails through her phone using outlook but this is now the only access, which is very worrying. With any email address it is embedded in your while life and it would be a nightmare to lose access to it.

We have a new pc and have tried to add her blueyonder account to Thunderbird but it says the password we have isn't recognised.

I can login to my Virgin Media account but we can't see a way of creating a Virgin Media O2 ID for her blueyonder email address or any way of changing her email password.

Does anyone know how we can create a Virgin Media ID for her email address or change her email password?

Many thanks.

sbruton  To access your wife's email account the first thing to do is make sure you are signed out of your account.  Then go to mail.virginmedia.com and on the sign in page enter your wife's blueyonder email address (unless you have previously set a third party email address as the username for the account). Enter her account password. You should now be taken through the process to convert the sign in details to a VMO2ID.  You will need to add a third party email address as a backup email during the process.

Once you have completed these steps you should be able to access the emails via VM webmail at the address above.

If you are using an email app or client to access your emails you are likely to need an app password, especially if you changed your password when signing into the VMO2 ID.

To create an email app password or update an existing one you need to follow these steps:

Sign into the My Virgin media account for the email concerned with your VMO2ID
    Select Account Settings
    Select Identity & Security Settings
    Select Manage your products
    Select Manage email app password
Click on the blue button 'Get New Password'

Make a note of the generated password.  This is what you use in the mail apps along with the vm email address as the username.
