Could you close my ntlworld email account?

I'm still a Virgin Media customer but I haven't been using my ntlworld email account for years. I'm sufficiently OCD to check it regularly but I don't send mail from it and nothing important comes into it any more. I'd like to close it down (without closing down my broadband service!) so I don't feel I have to check it any more, but can't find a way to do that. Can you help me?

    If this ntl mailbox is your primary one, then it can't be deleted.  However, if it is not, then yes it can be deleted.  Just wait here a day or two for a VM Mod to pick this up and discuss with you.

    Thanks Adduxi, I'm not sure what 'primary' means here. I don't use this as the contact address on my VM account (or any others).
