Can't sign into web mail forbidden message - also says out of contract but still paying

Hi all 

I use  Mac mail to access my virgin mail  - I have a blueyonder address

Last night  a number of recent mails suddenly disappeared from my in box. I tried to log in to my web mail to see what was happening and keep getting a forbidden message - can anybody help? I've read other posts regarding this but can't find a solution. I'm in the middle of a house sale and purchase and loosing mails is a nightmare 

The account is marked out of contract even though I continue to pay for it . I don't want to take another 18 month contract as I will be moving house soon and want to move to another provider.

I would also appreciate any guidance on archiving my old mails as my plan is move to a g mail address

    VM contracts don't end, they just change from 18 months, to a rolling 30 days, so yes you still will be paying.  They only end if you terminate the contract by giving 30 days notice.

    Not sure about mail migration on a Mac, if you had a windows device, you can try Mailstore Home.  It can archive mailboxes to a local hard drive.

    Sorry to hear you are getting this error when trying to access your mailbox.
    Could you try the following steps and let us know if this resolves the issue : 👇 

    Sign in to the online account 👉 virg.in/myVM

    Then go to account settings

    Then go to Virgin Media Mail settings

    Then click Generate App Password

    This should usually fix this within 30 minutes.

     

    If your contract has ended and you've not negotiated a new deal, you will be on a rolling 30 day contract at the higher rate since the discount period will have ended.
