Can't send emails keep getting error message 554-554 5.2.0 SMTP602 message contains spam

I have recently been receiving lots of phishing emails which are very annoying, I keep blocking them and have reported them numerous times.

Now when I try to reply to emails I get the error message 554-554 5.2.0 SMTP602 Message contains spam content, which I know for a fact it doesn't

Can anybody please help and tell me how to stop this from happening, technical jargon is not my thing

  • Hi Bluecrane57,

Thank you for your post and welcome back to our community forums. We're here to help.

I'm very sorry to hear you've been having issues with your email service recently. Is this happening when you respond to any and all emails? Can you also clarify where and how you're using the email account and service?

    Thanks,

      Hi Zach

Thanks for getting back to me, I was/am access emails via webmail and it was all emails the error message kept coming up on irrespective if I was replying to one or composing one, I was accessing webmail via Chrome browser which I have now stopped using and since doing that I have not had anymore error messages at all.

I had for about 3 weeks been getting phishing emails, kept blocking and deleting and reporting, and it was after receiving all these that the problem started and again was using Chrome browser, so it looks very likely that the Chrome browser was the problem

        Thanks for the update Bluecrane57

I am glad to hear the issue appears to have resolved itself after using an alternative browser.
