Can't log into secondary email addresses on iPhone or PC anymore

So as a customer from the NTLworld days, I have a couple of sub accounts/secondary email addresses that I've used over the years. Last week I stopped being able to access them on my iPhone and get my mail.

I've tried to login to My Mail via the Virgin Media website, but it seems since the change to Virgin/O2 accounts, I can no longer log in as my secondary accounts and get to my email.

The only account I seemingly can still access is my main account and the email address linked to that.

How do I get access to my other two email accounts. I have several accounts/logins with companies that require me to be able to use that email address to get verification codes and at this moment I'm completely locked out of those.

As soon as I can get access back to my other two email accounts I'll be making sure to take the steps to switch any site accounts or logins that use those NTLworld addresses to a different email provider, as this is not the first time Virgin have made changes that have locked me out of my email accounts.

Totally agree.  I moved mine some time ago and have never looked back.  Painful to do, but worth it.

Each ntlworld email address has needed its own MyVM account for several years now.  All that has changed recently is that the MyVM account sign in process has changed to the VMO2 ID.  For your sub account you should go the the MYVM sign in page and enter the ntlword email address and current password (if you have previously changed the account username to a third party email such as her outlook.com email then you should sign in with that).  The system should then automatically lead you through the process to convert to a VMO2 ID for your wife's account.

Once you have done this you will then need to go through the process to generate an email app password for use with the phone's email client.

To create an email app password or update an existing one you need to follow these steps:

Sign into the My Virgin media account for the email concerned with your VMO2ID
    Select Account Settings
    Select Identity & Security Settings
    Select Manage your products
    Select Manage email app password
Click on the blue button 'Get New Password'

Make a note of the generated password.  This is what you use in the mail apps along with the vm email address as the username.

That's the problem I'm having, My Ntlworld Addresses and Password are not recognised when I try to log in. I try to use the third party email address and password I was forced to create to log in to the account a year or so ago, when I do that it makes a VM02 ID, but doesn't bring up my email addresses, what it wants to do is have me transfer my account from my main VM02 ID to the new one being created. This I don't want to do.

Unless I'm missing something really obvious, or the website isn't working correctly. Trying to log in with my existing email addresses and passwords for the two sub accounts just doesn't work anymore.

In mid June this year VM sent emails to most secondary accounts informing users that the log in name would revert to the original email address rather than third party one from the beginning of July.  Do you recall receiving such an email?
