Cannot login to my ntlworld email
I use Thunderbird on my desktop and outlook on my mobile phone to access my primary email account which has an extention of ntlworld.com.
On my desktop i can receive emails but cannot send, on my mobile phone app i can do neither and it is asking me to sign in. The password i thought was correct is not accepted!
I have generated another email a/c (with the extension hotmail.com) that I use to login to virgin.
How do i reset my ntlworld password on virgin ? I have tried using the my virgin media instructions but it's just sending me around in circles and telling me to reset my hotmail password.
I want to continue using ntlworld.com as all my contacts, utilities, banks etc use that and it's a lot to change.
Why don't virgin have an email app ? having to login to my virgin account just tpo access emails each time is ball aching.
What happens when you log on with the ntl account? Did you setup the VMO2ID account for this ntl account? If you have a VMO2ID for this the following should allow you to get a password for your TB and Outlook mail clients.
Sign into the My Virgin media account for the email concerned with your VMO2ID
Select Account Settings
Select Identity & Security Settings
Select Manage your products
Select Manage email app password
Click on the blue button 'Get New Password'Make a note of the generated password. This is what you use in the mail apps along with the ntl email address as the username.
Also check you are using the latest SMTP and IMAP details for the clients.
