Cannot access 2nd blueyonder email account online.

We will be away for a few days and need to access my wife's blueyonder account via internet. When I open the account via my phone I get all my messages but her account shows up in Red and the message "the folder is empty pops up. Through Thunderbird there are no problems and all the mails show up fine. I would appreciate any feedback, but please in layman's terms, I am a "not very tech savvy pensioner". thanks

  • Hi there Willystone

Thank you so much for your post and welcome back to the community forums, it's great to have you here.

I am so sorry that you are facing this issue with your wife's email address, can I confirm, is this address currently linked to an active broadband account with us?

  • Thanks for the reply, yes the account is current and we can access it by the email client Thunderbird, the mails come in without problem.  I added my wife under a separate email address and when I use the mobile to access my mails, my account is fine, my wife's account shows up in red and says no mails. Feel I may have configured it wrong, certainly there are parts of it like her user name and password that are grayed out and cannot be changed.

Thank you for confirming this Willystone

How are you trying to access the emails, are you trying to open the email via an app on your phone or through the web?

Consider posting a redacted screenshot of where the “empty folder” message pop-up appears. It would also be helpful to know whether this is on an iOS or Android device and the name of the mail app being used.
