Access to secondary email

Hi there. I have had two virginmedia email addresses for a number of years. The secondary one I use for sites where I want to retain anonymity due to spam and marketing emails

now unable to access this secondary email account. On my mail app the IMAP settings keep prompting me for a password. When I enter it it says incorrect, and con’t see how to edit it on Virgin site or through O2 id. 

is there a fix for this, as I see others having the same issue

    Have you setup the VMO2ID for this mailbox?  There are no such things now as primary and secondary mailboxes, as they now have to have there own VMO2ID account.  Once the account is created see below.

    Sign into the My Virgin media account for the email concerned with your VMO2ID
    Select Account Settings
    Select Identity & Security Settings
    Select Manage your products
    Select Manage email app password
    Click on the blue button 'Get New Password'
