I have just had the same conversation. I have been with Virgin since before they were Virgin and still have an ntlworld email address. The completely misnomered 'retentions' dept. seem not to care about retaining customers as they offered £5 off my overpriced package from the 'personal discount' that the advisor could give. Absolutely shameful

I've had the same experience. Over 20 years of Virgin but this year there is a remarkable difference - they really don't want to offer a deal. It's too expensive. I've never plugged in a landline and they still won't take it off my offers. Fortunately OpenReach have cabled to my property now and so I'll move to a rolling contract...then leave.
