It is likely any new customer would just get a Quick Start kit sent to them (unless they paid to have a VM tech installation).
You would return kit via a VM tech at your own peril. We have seen past topics on here where equipment has been taken by a VM tech only for return to take ages for it to be signed back into the VM system of for it to go AWOL altogether.
The formal process of requesting return packaging is slow and unreliable enough but at least that should give you a tracking number for the return so you are covered if the returned equipment does go missing.
You may be able to return equipment via an O2 store but you should make sure you get a receipt/tracking info for what you have returned.
Making a note of the serial no. and model no. for each item is also a good idea as VM often seems to send out return requests for items the customer does not own as reported in topics on here.
