Can you please confirm that the calls I keep getting from 0800 052 7551 is a genuine Virgin Media call or a scammer pretending to be from Virgin Media? When I challenged for proof of identity the person at the other end they said they were not continuing the call.

It would be nice to know from Virgin Media, if they ever do cold calling and if so, how they identify themselves as genuine. This will help to quickly determine if a caller is scammer.
Ask them for your account number.
If they don't know it's not VM.
You can spoof numbers, so it may be VM, it may not.

The same number keeps calling me at random times of the day, every day and it is coincidental that it started after calling Virgin Media myself! The times I have managed to answer, even after 1 ring, the line gets cut off!
The worrying thing, is that my phone uses Caller ID and spam protection, which states who is calling, presumably using AI. The caller ID shows as Virgin Media and does not register as spam.
