Finally pulling the plaster off
Well after many years of doing the 'virgin dance' every time renewal came up I'm finally leaving virgin.
I wasnt even on that fantastic a package but the renewal process was even more of a joke this time than previous ones.
Currently on Bigger bundle + an extra Tivo Box. Was paying £41.55 a month. That increases to £88.24 from the 19th.
Best renewal option (I had £59, £53 beforehand) was £49 which is worse than sky, plus got a bonus for switching. I also save £5 a month on netflix.
I chatted them yesterday just to see what the best deal they could offer me for the lowest broadband package and they quoted £52 as the lowest broadband + phone line package (sky is £19.99).
I have Toob broadband already which surpasses virgins best offering by a country mile for remote working - just nice to have a second broadband for resilience.
Perhaps in two years I might get a loyalty bonus for being a 'new' customer'. Honestly I don't understand the preference of new customers over retaining existing ones.
