Ethernet

Basically Ive got an Ethernet cable running from my main WiFi box up to my shed in garden and an Ethernet running from the same WiFi box to my console. Some reason when I have the WiFi on in shed the house WiFi doesn’t seem to work . Any solutions around it?

I’ve done this and it’s disconnected devices from house WiFi ?

What is the make of the "WiFi box in the shed? What is the IP address of the box and have you given it a fixed IP address in the box or reserved an IP address in the VM hub?

Is the wifi box in the shed another router? If so is it set to Access Point mode?

  • Are you using the same network name & password for the access point in the shed?

I have my Hub in Router mode and use the WiFi for administion purposes.

For the last 20 years I have used my own routers as access points (upgraded twice), which have independant Network names & passwords without a problem. So whenevever I have a hub change, I don't have to reconnect my devices.

Try naming the WiFi for the shed as Shed 2.4 & Shed 5 the password can be the same as for the house.
