Been amazing 5+ years and time to move on

I have used Virgin Media for 5+ years and initally was a rocky start with Wi-Fi but after investing in my own router( not very expensive £75) it never gave trouble again. Despite the negative reviews on Trustpilot I would rate 8/10. 1 point deduction because of their Hub 3 & 4 and 1 point for their customer service robots. But otherwise got what I paid for.

Now Openreach have installed FTTP so I wanted to try out this new tech.

All the best everyone.

I have said before, VM in my area have a good solid Broadband supply.  However I have always used modem mode and my own networking kit.  I very rarely have to call customer support, so can't comment on that.  But, yes other users have a completely different experience.  As for the Openreach connection, it's a better latency than HFC, and equally as reliable.  If I was to nit-pick, I would say the VM connection, whilst good, has more "glitches" than the Openreach one, as noted by the BQM's.
