Using Superhub 3, 2 WiFi Pods are plugged in, not sure how good these really are. Didn't used to be too bad, but downstairs away from the Hub now getting constant disconnections. In a bad 5G area and my phone is picking that up now instead! TV and V6 constant disconnections.
Anything that I can try. Have reconnected everything, turned Hub off and on etc.
The #1 problem with VM Pods ( Wi-Fi Repeaters ) is poor placement.
Far too often VM Pods are in the room that has poor service from the VM Hub,
this is a huge no no .
Turn off all the VM Pods, then with your mobile phone perform a speed test at the location of the ( now OFF ) VM Pod, if the results are not good, this spot is too far from the VM Hub for the VM Pod to be effective.
VM Pods are simple Wi-Fi Repeaters, they can increase the range if located well, but will at least halve the speed in the process. It is just the way half duplex Wi-Fi works.
The Hub is on the loft landing in an open space in the centre of the house. The first pod is on the landing the floor below pretty much directly below the Hub. (With the Pod off the signal is good). The second pod is on the same floor as the first pod but in another room by the door, just by the stairs of the landing. A few meters away from the first pod and below the Hub. (With the Pod off the signal is good)
There are dead spots in the house either way, with or without the pods. There is not much option for placements of a third pod, but as it just repeats the signal, then I don't think it is going to help the dead spots anyway.
Would there be a reason why it has been getting worse the past couple of weeks.
New neighbours Wifi? Existing neighbours change Wifi kit? How many SSID's show up on a Wifi scanner?
Only one extra SSID when I checked yesterday.
VM Pod faults can cause changes to the Wi-Fi coverage pattern.
We have a VM Hub + 2 Wi-Fi Access Points and network sockets in 4 rooms,
this is for a house of 12 rooms. Sometimes the ISP solution is just not enough.

Try turning off the Wifi Assist on the phones and see if that helps maintain a signal lock?
To check the Wifi not using the app, have you tried a 3rd party wifi scanner on your phone and walk around the house for readings? Ideally you need -60dBm or less for a decent signal, the smaller the number the better btw. There are plenty in the Google Play Store, and for iOS the only one is the Airport Utility app. It would be interesting to see some figures. As an example, where I am at the moment, the Wifi is -38dBm.
I have downloaded the Airport Utility app but it doest not give any information. Just IP address.
Go to Settings, then Apps and find Airport Utility, toggle on the WiFi scan. Close and reopen Airport, this should now have a WiFi scan top right. This will show all WiFi bands, channels and strength.
