WiFi Pods!!

Hi. I am having a nightmare trying to get some help ordering another wifi pod(s). I have received my first one and still having bother. I work from home so I need a strong connection and I’m already paying for them in my opinion. Is there anyone who can help me order another 2 pods? I’ve tried calling and that raised my stress levels ten fold 😆. Seriously considering ditching Virgin after 20 years with them.

Good to know that with VM doing pods people still want to leave....VM just can't win

They absolutely can win if they made it so much easier to communicate with their customer service team or just sent out pods automatically to every customer paying for the max packages rather than us trying to navigate customer services. I’ve spent many, many hours over the years trying to get a solution to various problems.

Communication? Not VM's strong suit; which is odd for a 'communications company'!

Now I do get what you are saying; but if VM were to say that anyone on a particular set of packages can claim three pods, you know that many would simply do that, even if said pods were never unboxed - 'well I'm entitled to this so I'm going to claim it regardless'.

Now VM's Wifi guarantee isn't quite as good as it may seem at first glance, and, to be fair, their competitors are no better.

Now obviously you have an issue, but why do you think that extra pods are the solution? Maybe they are, but you admit the first one hasn't resolved said issue, so why think that another will do so? Maybe something else is going on?

So, rather than just saying 'I want pods', if you explain what your issues actually are, what are you experiencing, how are you connected to the hub (WiFi presumably), do you have any devices connected via cable to the hub, do they experience connectivity problems?

There is a massive wealth of experience and people on here willing to help and advise, but without details we are all a bit blind.

  • As explained I’ve been a loyal Virgin customer for over 20 years and I’m now working from home. At no point did I say the first pod hasn’t helped, i said I’m still having bother. It has helped to a certain degree in that it has boosted my signal to another room but I require another to boost it further to a garden office and this is after days of moving it around. With all due respect, you do not know my situation or how many times I have had to contact Virgin so please don’t patronise. Nor do you need to know my full situation either. As you’re not an employee of VM you cannot help me in this instance. I’m not a greedy degenerate demanding something just because I can get it either. That is not how I operate.  I REQUIRE it, otherwise I wouldn’t have joined this forum. I did that as a last resort as I have had no luck talking to someone privately so that I wouldn’t have to explain myself to strangers.  Problem is I couldn’t actually speak to someone. I was under the impression that someone from VM would contact me privately and discuss my situation.
Thank you for taking the time to post your thoughts but maybe reserve judgement on people’s posts unless you know the full story (which you don’t need to know until you start working for VM)

  • I’ll await VM’s reply and take it from there with them.

  • Thanks, I’ll take a look at that thread actually as it seems helpful.
