Wifi pod making a noise is it safe ??

One of my virgin wifi pods is making a noise that sounds like a fan. Is it safe to still use or should I turn it off as it could be a fire risk?

It seems to still be working currently.

I turned it off for a period but the noise returned as soon as it was turned back on

    I'm very sorry to hear about the noise the pod is making. 

    It does sound like it could need replacing.
