Wifi issues

My WiFi cuts out regularly. My Tivo box and Hub are many years old. Would a new Tivo v6 box and new Hub be an improvement. Selecting items such as BBC I player is very slow on Tivo box

You won't get a new V6 box because they have been phased out in favour of streaming devices. If your V6 is faulty you might be able to get a replacement, but it will be a used one, and you will lose your recordings.

Is your wifi problem only with wifi devices or with ethernet connections too?

Hi Alessandro. My Router is upstairs , I use my devices downstairs.  I have it like this several years and use a Mesh network. Streaming can sometimes buffer , loading I Player is very slow but more important the Internet cuts out, particularly on Google Home Nest. I am meant to get 250 Mb but register only 80 tops when I chech with Ethernet to Router. The Tivo box is old and have had Hub 3 several years. Would TV 360 benefit ? I have changed Router channels to remove interference but with min success. . I have rebooted Router several times. Would appreciate your help

Thanks for reaching out to us Tomk2, and a very warm welcome to you!

We would need to advise that a changing of the set top box would likely result in a new package needing to be agreed with Virgin Media.

In relation to the router and it's location, have you considered potentially relocating this for a flat fee of £25.00?

Do you have devices located close to the router that remain on the Ethernet cable or potentially could be?

What type of Ethernet cable was used when recording the speed test?

        Thanks,

Just connect the TiVo box to the hub with an Ethernet cable.
