WiFi disconnects from 360 box

Hi,

I have seen a number of posts where others have had problems with wifi dropping out to 360 box and other devices.

I have not seen a clear solution to this.

i have a HUB 3 router and have started to experience the wifi disconnecting from both my 360 TV box and my iPhone.

this is now happening regularly through out the day.

resetting the HUB 3 only fixes the problem for a short time.

i have to reconnect the wifi constantly at the 360 box via settings. Resetting the box does not help either.

ethernet connection is not currently an option.

i know that others have had similar problems but a clear fix

any help appreciated

"If" you are not using the VM Pods, disable the Smart Optimisation on the Wifi, and manually set the channels for the Wifi bands.  Use 1, 6 or 11 for the 2.4Ghz band and avoid the DFS channels for the 5Ghz band.  This will stabilise the signal.  However, you can't do this if you use the VM Pods, as they will stop working.  Also if you are using the VM Connect app, this will need to be uninstalled from any device, as it will seek to change your settings back again to out of the box.

I would also suggest you get a long ethernet cable, as a temp test, to rule out any problems.  It can be removed afterwards and kept for future use. I keep a long ethernet cable just for this type of scenario.

      Morning Adduxi,

the wifi has now been stable since 6pm last night.

changing the settings you suggested have worked so far. As you said, the VM connect app did return the settings so I have left that uninstalled (thought that maybe could be reinstalled after the setting change but I thought wrong πŸ™„)

I will try and set up an Ethernet connection but this has fixed my problem at present.

      thanks for the help

Glad it’s sorted. The Ethernet was only for testing but a long cable is always handy to have around.
