Why do I have separate Networks for Wired and Wireless?
I have my laptop and TV connected to the Hub on Wireless and my desktop connected on Wired, and they are connecting to two different networks.
This means I can't do filesharing and media centre from my desktop.
The Wireless network shows up with the name I gave it in the Hub settings, the Wired connection is just "Network 2".
Any idea how to get them all on the same network?
(Internet is working fine across all devices)
The network name for your wired connection is not important, if plugged in via Ethernet it will still be connected to the same network regardless of the name.
On your desktop, is your network type set to Private or Public? It will need to be set as a private network to allow sharing. You may also need to turn on "File and Printer Sharing" under "Advanced Sharing Settings".
Are you using a third party firewall? Some Internet Security products are known to block network filesharing until you create a firewall rule.
