Weird WIFI with Hub 3

I'm sure this has been posted many times before, but prior to leaving virgin once and for all I thought I would reach out.

The picture - I have the hub 3 router and pay for a very fast speed. I wire as much as I can to the router like the TV, PS5, etc etc. I have 2 WiFi pods in the house. I have had the router replaced twice, and all the wiring replaced twice as a "this will cover all issues" fix from Virgin. I have the smart WiFi turned off, all restrictions turned off, separate 2.4 and 5ghz channels. I have run tests to ensure that I'm on the least busy channel. But......

If someone uses the wired connection on the TV to stream Disney or Netflix etc the WiFi drops to a ridiculously low rate. Things drop off, won't connect, go slow, it's a nightmare !!!! The wired connection can't be stealing WiFi bandwidth surely??? It makes no sense !!! I'm not going down the expensive router tunnel, and putting this into medem mode. Our house is not heavy users, and we pay for a service that won't work.

Any suggestions??? (PLEASE!!)

You need smart wifi to be turned on for the VM wifi pods to work.  Also the 2.4 and 5ghz channels should not be separated.

The Hub must be in 'Router Mode' and not have been changed to 'Modem Mode'
Channel Optimisation must be left on
The SSIDs must be the same and broadcast enabled
The SSID must be password protected
The Passphrases of the SSIDs must match
As long as all of the above points are all met then the Pods will automatically connect to your Hub's WiFi and begin broadcasting. The wireless details from the Pods will be the same as the Hub's details, so no additional steps are required to connect up the devices in the home.

This is not true. Smart WiFi picks the best channel for itself and not for you. This is a mask to give the illusion of a solid connection. The pods connect when you split the WiFi as they only run on the 2.4ghz anyway as it has better range. In fact they work better. Before separating things they dropped out all the time. All passwords match, including the 2.4 and 5.0. The hub is in router mode, never been in modem mode. I feel this maybe an AI response??!?!

Actually it's from a forum staff response from 2 years ago.

Curious, the OP joined the forum 2 hours ago, but is about to finish with the VM service.

A number of technical inconstancies are highlighted in bold in the response above.

Not that curious really. I joined in order to run out all options. As you can see from my original post I have tried everything else.

Nope. This problem happens when you are in the same room as the bub sitting 5ft from it.
