Hi everyone! I need some assistance as to why i have no internet after returning home. The brown box outside the house has been rewired incorrectly, i have some photos to share of it on request. Can someone please with the knowledge explain why the neighbor next door is wired to my tap now and i have no internet.
Me and my company are seriously considering suing the neighbor at this point!

VM do this sometimes as a temporary, or even permanent, measure for both you and your neighbor to share the same cabling.
Doesn't sound like it's gone to plan, though!
Thank you for the reply. Is there any way i can fix this myself? Engineer is sent to come here on the 12th but i need net before this.
Am I right in assuming the capped off cable in the background is yours?
If it is, try unscrewing the terminator cap on the end (if there is one) then screw the cable into the unused port on the splitter. If doing this does not work, then unscrew it again & return it to its previous condition. If you are near the cabinet the above might work, but if you are not a technician would have to make adjustments in the street cabinet to enable enough signal to drive both lines.
