Unable to use tp link wife extenders with new Hub 5
All the lights on the two tp-link extenders are on although I'm unable to connect devices to them.

It turns out, as hub 5 has Wifi 6, I don't need extenders.

Did you reset the extender to factory, and then re-pair with the new Hub? What is the model of the extender? It may be too old to work with the new Hub 5 wifi 6 ax protocol.
