Unable to reset Hub 5 settings

So I renewed my contract with you guys and they swapped my hub 3 to the hub 5 and since then my router has **bleep** the bed, I'm talking cant even get through factory reset kinda **bleep** the bed.

I login change password get to the welcome page then it just hangs and nothing happens.

Anyone have any idea at all before I get another technician round to plug his device it to forcefully reset it? I had the hub3 for about 6 years with no issues relating to the hub3 box itself

Did you not let the hub update? and turned it off when it was doing a update?

Fixed it this morning by holding the pin down for 1 minute (it will flash twice, ignore the first flash and wait for the second flash), during setup I told it to skip the WiFi password part, during this after about 15 minutes it was loading literally nothing (crashed I guess?)  anyway I just turned it off and on, was greeted with the setup page once again but this time it did eventually load.

When checking the network log only on the second reset did it complete registration, so yes, I am now connected.

Further info the modem mode does not seem to work at all. I am always connected via ethernet on port 1, I can change the router to modem mode (and I'd like to because I suspect the issue is something to do with it in router mode) but while in modem mode I can connect to the router, it won't connect to the internet which doesn't make any sense. Yet it displays internet as online. I've tried different ports as well, they are all the same. Has anyone else experienced the same issue?

When resetting the Hub 5 it is important to have a large dose of patience.  Remove any ethernet cables, 60 second pinhole press and then go and have lunch for an hour.  Come back and it should be fine.  I've done this several times with all the Hub's I've had and then they go straight to modem mode.

I've no trouble with the Hub's admin console in modem mode on 192.168.100.1 either via an ethernet connection or Wifi, but I would discourage any use of Wifi when working on the console.
