Setting up optimum network in a new house

Hi - there is almost too much advice around the internet on this and just trying to find the best answer

Moving to a new, sprawling, house, Have had Virgin 2GB internet installed into the main office location for Wifi and also wired usage. Have also had data cables installed from there to two remote locations around the property.

At the remote locations I am looking for one wired connection (eg Smart TV) and also an improved WiFi signal. I don't particularly want these all to have different network names/SSIDs and people wandering around with wireless devices/phones to have to select one. So ideally only the one SSID across the property

Is there a nice simple guide to what to put on the two remote end points for this? Trying to avoid full blown mesh as have that in the current property and it  has been problematic connecting a laptop wirelessly to VPN and some work sources, keeps dropping I think because switching between mesh devices.

Is there an obvious, nice, simpe way forward here!? Or a pointer to a useful online source that gives good guidance without trying to sell 'their' solution?

Thanks!

I would suggest you just install Wireless Access Points in these locations, the can use the same SSID as your present setup. If you also need Ethernet cabled device access in these locations you can just install a cheap 5 point network switch.
