What mode are you in? Router mode or modem mode? If in modem mode, put into router mode and see if still a red light. If it is, it's likely to need replacing. If it goes white light, then you can swap back to modem mode if you were in this mode originally and it means it's just an aging led light that can no longer show magenta for this mode.
On the other hand if it's hot, not just warm, it shouldn't be, unless you actual room temperature is rather warm/hot and it's got ventilation around it.

Hey CHearring, thank you for reaching out and I am so so sorry to hear you are having issue with the red light.
I am going to send you a DM, but please try these steps first;
• Turn the power switch off on the back of the Hub.
• Ensure the Hub is upright, in a well-ventilated location, and, if at all possible, out of direct sunlight.
• Then use the power switch to turn the unit back on. The Hub should now operate normally.
