Pods keep failing.

Tv is at the end of our house, the router is in the front room, we have three pods, they are constantly showing as offline or poor connection, losing the will to live with them, they are as good as useless! Not sure what’s to do next!

If you turned off all 3 VM Pods and stood at the place where each VM Pod is located,
would you have a good Wi-Fi signal on your mobile or laptop and would you get a decent result on a speed test ?

If the answer is no, the VM Pod is too far from the VM Hub to operate properly.

We have a larger house, the VM Pods are no use & we do not have them. Where VM Pods would work is not where we need good Wi-Fi so we have Wireless Access points and network sockets in four rooms.

We had an engineer here recently who tested it all, worked ok when he was here, now back to normal, ie not well at all, they aren’t too far away from the hub either

Hey chelsian, thank you for reaching out and we are sorry to hear about your pod issues.

Did any of the above advice help or are they still playing up?

If the VM Hubs have totally disconnected, is that because someone has made adjustment to the Wi-Fi settings of the VM Hub ?

    Settings required for VM Pods

    1. The Hub is in 'Router Mode'
    2. Wireless Channel Optimisation is Enabled
    3. The 2.4 & 5 GHz bands have the same SSID
    4. SSID broadcast is Enabled on both bands
    5. Both SSID are protected with the same password.
    6. Auto Channels are Enabled on both bands
    7. The VM Hub’s DHCP server is Enabled
    8. Only VM can pair VM Pods to a Hub
    9. VM will need to re-pair VM Pods manually if a replacement Hub is supplied
