No WiFi in some rooms

I've got a gigabit connection, but thick walls in my house and some rooms just don't get a signal at all. I've tried customer services twice who have told me to run a speed test but first time told me if I don't get a connection at all they can't help me. They need to be able to log a speed which obviously I can't get. The second time a year ago I was told I was being sent a pod but I've never been sent anything. Can anyone help me? I need a pod. I've given up in frustration and this is the last try before I cancel my contract. I've got two rooms at opposite ends of the house that both need connections.

For pods - see the old post below.

But TBH with thick walls attenuating the wifi signals the best solution is to run Cat6a ethernet cables from the Hub to the various "dead zones" and attach wireless access points on the other end - that will deliver you maximum wifi speeds to those zones

To address the wifi issues, VM now supply “wifi Pods” (no longer doing cheap and cheerless and poor value “boosters”).    However, their Pods are only free to customers  on the 1GB, Volt (or old Ultimate Oomph) packages - so they are worth trying for you. VM Wifi is now “guaranteed” to 30 Mbps/room it’s now called… Wifi Max
See if anything in here helps….

You call 0800 064 3850 to order the first one after scanning for blackspots using the connect App.- or just wait here for a VM person to respond in a day or two and they will sort the first one for you.  If you do call dont get fobbed off by the offshore CS agents' saying you aren’t eligible - if you are - it is clearly stated on the webpage.

You can also text VM on 0753 305 1809 include account name/number and what the issue is,  there is also a “Chat” option on their website - but note that replies usually take longer.  Or you can speak to the team on WhatsApp by logging into your online account via a mobile handset and there will be a link to speak to VM by Whats App (the number is 0780 3089 684   ) - you can use the same number for their other social media platforms too (TwitX/Fbook. etc) - so try them all

Pod not going to help you either another ISP with a better all in one hub or use VM in modem mode with a better 3rd party router with 1Gb ports

You need to place the pods at a midpoint between the hub and the location that isn't getting a signal. Test speeds at various points between the two non signal locations and once you get a speed of less than 30 Mbps use that speed to order the pods.  You can have up to three pods but can only order one at a time.
