New 1GB broadband which Hub do I get?
Hi all,
I have just signed up as a new customer to 1GB broadband, is there any way that I can check If I will receive the hub 5? And as I have had a hub 4 in the past and had nothing but trouble.

Ok by wire test at https://www.speedtest.net/ and see what your download (not idle) latency is

Thank you so much for your post and welcome back the community forums, it's great to have you here.
I am so sorry that you have faced this issue with your recently installed service, though I am very glad you were able to get the Hub 5 as hoped.
I wanted to say a big thank you to our community team here as well for their help and advise so far. I have taken a quick look on my side and can see some issues with the Hub specs that I do think would best require an engineer to take a look, I'll pop across a private message so we can arrange this.

likely all you can get might be that the server is 10Gb to your hubs 1Gb port causing egress buffer to be full for speed to stop and start
likely will not fix it but try disabling flow control on your NIC
1Gb got cheap 10Gb ports are needed on hubs not that VM will do this that they can only give one 10Gb ports on hub 5x and no modem mode for us to take control.
