Nationwide app

Hi 

Not sure if this the right place but I can't access my nationwide app on virgin broadband. If I use a VPN and mobile data it works fine. Turn on my WiFi and can't connect. Anyone had similar issues.

    It started working again on its own for a day. Now it doesn't work again.

      Welcome back to our forums, and sorry to hear you are having issues accessing the Nationwide app. We can understand the inconvenience caused. Just to confirm, what happens when accessing the app in hub mode without any VPN? Do you get the same issue? Please get back to us when you can.

        When I connect using mobile data or VPN it works fine but connecting using normal WiFi it fails to load with a message saying connection error

    Using your VM Hub and your Router, with VPNs disabled use the link below 
    and check that there is

    IPv4 is displayed.

    IPv6  Is:  Not detected

    ISP is: Virgin Media Limited 

    the location is in the UK 

    https://whatismyipaddress.com/

    I've changed them to Google but still hasn't worked

    So content blocking is down to your choices of Parental Controls and/or DNS provider.

      I've turned off all parental controls. The app works on other networks, with a VPN and on my mobile data so surely it must be virgin broadband blocking it

        Unless you are still using the VM DNS, VM can't block in modem mode.

        Turned off which parental controls ... the VM ones ? the ones on your Router ?  both ?

        Which DNS IPs are you using ? Does that have parental controls enabled ? 

        Do you have an ad-blocker or pi-hole etc ?

        Can you access : https://www.nationwide.co.uk/ 

        Does changing your mobile to use Google DNS 8.8.8.8 get the Nationwide app to work ? 

        Does disabling mobile VPNs / Apple Relay / Norton Anti Virus change the situation ?

        Plenty of questions before surely it is all VM's fault !

      I’m confused.  If you are using the Hub as a modem, which router are you using?

    Login to the VM Online Account and Disable Parental Controls.

    Try the Nationwide app again on VM Wi-Fi.
