Moving router

Hi,

My broadband/wifi router was installed upstairs years ago in what is now an inconvenient spot. I would like it moved downstairs. What's the easiest way to book an engineer to do this please?

    It’s a a standard £25 change for doing this,

Now if you are a masochist and enjoy endless frustration by dealing with the Oompa Loomps, then please call 150 (no, my apologies, the Oompa Loompass diligently did their jobs and certainly wouldn’t have contemplated making stuff up or lying to the customer), and request an engineer visit.

Alternatively, if you value your sanity, then hang on for a day or so for a member of the forum team to find this thread and offer to get in touch via direct message, and sort an appointment out.

  • Hi, jumping on this thread as I would also like to have my router moved from our bedroom to our living room. Can an engineer visit please be arranged? Many thanks

      Hello SamSharpe.

Thank you for joining our community.

We'd happily arrange the relocation for you from here.

Just to make you aware of the £25 call out charge as well.

If you don't mind, I'll need to send you a private message to pass security to get this booked in.
If you can check the envelope at the top right of your screen, that would be great.

  • Please can somebody at Virgin Media BB contact me to arrange for an engineer to visit and relocate the router. I understand this is a paid for service

      Hi annoyedVMBBcust

      Welcome to the Community Forums.

Yes, we can arrange this for you. The call-out charge for these requests is £25. This would be added to your next generated bill once the appointment is completed. If you're happy to continue, please join me on private message so I can locate your account and pass account security. You can see your private messages at the top of the page, in the envelope icon, or if you're using a smaller device, you can see your private messages by clicking on the Virgin Media logo at the top right and select 'Messages' from the drop down.
