I dont have wifi installed just yet, but was just a query as to, when the wifi is installed would an engineer be able to move the master socket when the wifi is being installed? As im not sure if we have a socket in the living room of our house we've just moved in to, as i noticed it is down in the hallway next to our front door.

If you mean 'master socket' as in 'telephone master socket' then a VM connection would not use that.
VM would install its own cabling for broadband/TV and, if you have a VM landline in your package, that will be provided via a phone socket on the back of the VM hub.
A VM tech should install the connection point where you need/want it (within reason).
