Move router in home

Hello, I need to move my router from upstairs to downstairs in my home as I don't get any WiFi signal in my new outdoor office even with a pod and a TP-Link extender.

I can see that a few people have had similar requests in the last and that an engineer should be able to come out to move it (for a fee), which I am happy with.

Could someone please let me know how I can book this as there's no option on the VMconnect or the myVM app?

Thank you!

Standard £25 non fault call out fee for this type of work.  If you wait here a day or two a VM Mod will pick this up and discuss directly with you.

As an aside, an Office would be better served with an ethernet cabled connection and a Wifi access point .  This will ensure full performance for such things as Teams meetings etc.

  • can you not feed a Ethernet cable to outside office or to an external AP? Will give better results overal?

  • Hey cbowen1991, thank you for reaching out and we are so sorry to hear about your connection issues.

As mentioned there is a £25 one off fee for this, has this always been like this?

Would you like to try one our pods before you go for the above?

Hello, we have a pod and I have managed to piggy back extenders to get a signal out there but I'd rather move the router out of my sons' bedroom.

I am happy to pay the fee for the engineer to come and move it.
