Logging into router causes certificate error

When I log into my router using the 192.168.0.1 address I get the following

Your connection is not private
Attackers might be trying to steal your information from "192.168.0.1 (for example, passwords, messages or credit cards). Learn more about this warning
net::ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY_INVALID

Anyone know what is going on? Happens with any browser...

    It sounds like your hub 5 has updated to version LG-RDK_11.6.2-2410.1.

    Mine had been on software version: LG-RDK_7.6.20-2306.5 from 17th May 2024, until it updated to
    LG-RDK_11.6.2-2410.1 on 28th September 2025.

    This update prevented me accessing the hubs settings on Chrome due to the "connection not private" warning.  192.168.0.1 is internal and thus doesn't have or really need a security certifcate as it's a local IP and not broadcast externally.

    I actually managed to log into the hub settings using Edge browser.

    My hub 5 reverted back to software version : LG-RDK_7.6.20-2306.5 on 2nd October 2025, and this reversion removed the "connection not private" warning again as the browser was no longer looking for a security certificate.
