Keeps dropping the connection

Frequently I lose the connection, with messages "couldn't get IP address" or "connected without internet".

This happens on multiple devices, and lasts for a reasonably short time before I can reconnect, usually after switching between WiFi networks. But it's happening 8 - 12 times per day. Rebooting the router doesn't help.

What can I do? Thanks

Guess you need a new hub unless you want to use modem mode and get your own router with better wifi and 1Gb ports

  • Thanks, I'm not surprised, but the hub is only about 7 months old

      Hello xalanfx

Thanks for posting and welcome to the community. Sorry to hear of any Internet issues. From a diagnostic check we've done, it's not showing any area issues or outages. Also, the disconnections mentioned are not being seen on our system either. Have you got a BQM at all?

If it's just WiFi, then please download the Connect App for us and when installed, do a wireless scan in the property which should help.

      Keep us posted.

  • Hello xalanfx,

Welcome to the Community and thanks for taking the time to post here on the forums. I’m sorry to hear of the issues that you’re having with your connection at the moment. I've looked into this and can see an issue with your downstream power levels that would need an engineer visit to resolve. I can arrange the appointment from here however I would need to confirm a few details via a private message, that I will drop over in a moment. Please look out for the private message and we can get started.
    Kind Regards,
