Issues with wifi dropping out for a second, do I need a powerline adapter

Hello!

I have had a Hub 3.0 for several months and it's been working fine but now I have a new lodger and she experiences temporary dropouts on her Teams calls (on the app) where it disconnects for a second and then she has to reconnect. I don't think any other devices on the network experience this.

I saw this post: https://community.virginmedia.com/t5/Networking-and-WiFi/WiFi-always-dropping-out-on-Dell-Laptop-MS-Teams-calls/td-p/5549061 and seems like the issue could be similar (although she's on an HP laptop not a Dell), but I tried changing her device to have the choice to connect to the 2.4 GHz radio as well as the 5GHz using the Wireless filter list but she doesn't seem to be able to choose one or the other from her laptop (I'm not sure if this is how it works anyway!)

Is my next step to get a Powerline Adapter as suggested in that post or is there something else I should try? (I'll also need to get an ethernet to USB adapter as her laptop doesn't have an ethernet port.)

Thank you in advance!

There are endless grumbles about dropouts on MS Teams calls over Wi-Fi.
However similar complaints during use of Zoom / Skype / WhatApp over Wi-Fi are quite rare.

Avoid the Wireless Filter function in the Hub 3, blocking Wi-Fi access is not helpful.

Thank you! I'll remove that setting. Any other help from anyone would be appreciated!

How has the connection been since this setting as changed any improvement at all?
