Never had any networking issues before till now.
The IP address I got thru the router showed my location correctly as in Fife. Now the IP has suddenly changed and is showing the location as Barry in Wales.
This is causing some problems with financial transactions as it appears that my location is Barry.
Any ideas as to how this can be resolved?
Looks like your area has been re-segmented for extra capacity and VM are using a new block of IPv4 addresses that perhaps were from another ISP based in Wales?
There's nothing that VM can do because they don't assign locations to IP's. It will eventually show where you are when the search engines catch up.
Yeah give it a month and it will update. That IP will previously have been assigned to a customer in Barry but will catch up to the new location within a few weeks.
You can set the ball rolling to get the ip address updated by going to whatismyipaddress.com/ again and clicking on the update my IP location link on the right hand side of that page.
