Internet cutting out during Teams calls

Dear Sir or Madam,

Whenever I work from home, almost every single time I use Microsoft Teams to have video call or meeting for business, my internet seems to cut out at some point during the call for 30-60 seconds or so, resulting in my dropping out of the video calls and meetings I'm having and missing 30-60 seconds of the meeting. It's incredibly frustrating as it happens almost every single time I ever have a call, and sometimes multiple times during a call. The rest of the time it seems to work absolutely fine, and there are no issues with quality or speed for the majority of the time I'm on calls, just the 30-60 seconds I keep dropping out.

Any help appreciated.

Richard

Without a doubt Microsoft Teams is the most complained about tele-conf platform.

Use of Wi-Fi appears to degrade Microsoft Teams no end, but we do get very decent stability using USB 3 to Gigabit Ethernet adaptors for our slim HP Laptops that lack a network socket.

  • Hey RSWJ, thank you for reaching out and a warm welcome to the community, I am so sorry to hear you are having some connection issues.

I've ran some tests and everything looks great on our side, how has the connection been over the weekend?

Is this only teams this is happening with?

Thanks Matthew, if it’s happening any other times I don’t notice - but it keeps happening with Teams and it’s very obvious when I cut out of a call! It happened again yesterday. Are you able to take a closer look - is there anything you need to do so?

What device do you have the calls on? Is it a Laptop? If so, how is the device connected to your network?
