Hub3 light is solid red

I’ve had a few issues with my home network setup with which I use the Devolo magic2 mesh network for a few years but recently I’ve been having some connectivity issues to which I have noticed that my My hub3 router has a solid red light on, I’ve checked to see what the red light means and it’s an over heating issue. I’ve followed the instructions on what to do ive done a reset and the light is still red. The hub has been in the same place for about 3 years and is well ventilated so looks like it needs replacing

  • Hi, yes I have read your reply which is the reason why I posted my query, just waiting for someone to get back to me, I tried calling the number but just go round in circles and got very frustrated with it.

A VM Mod should pick this up in a day or two  and discuss.  The Hub needs to be replaced as the overheating warning is not working correctly and is a risk.

  • All sorted now, got a replacement hub 5, only issue is that the hub 5 isn’t backwards compatible and as I have a Tado wireless thermostat and hot water device I had to connect it via a powerline for it to work
