Hub occasionally losing WiFi connectivity

After several years of reliable service, I am now occasionally losing WIFI connectivity on the router. This is solved by rebooting the router.

This has now happened twice in the last few weeks and on both occasions it was when I was away from home for a few days. This was very inconvenient to say the least as all devices in the house which connect wirelessly are unavailable remotely, but any connections which are wired, such as the Hive hub, are still available.

How can I stop this happening in future?

VM firmware for router mode wifi is not that stable it seems whenever they push a new update.

To stop this happen again I recommend getting your own wifi router with 1 or 2.5Gb ports and put hub in modem mode.

  • The WIFI has gone down again after 11 days.

I am using the following  settings based on some replies from the Community:

Connected devices - Wireless - Wireless signal

    Wireless frequency 2.4GHz - Wireless mode 802.11g/n/ax mixed - Channel Manual (Channel 11) - Channel Width 20Mhz

    Wireless frequency 5GHz - Wireless mode 802.11a/n/ac/ax mixed - Channel Manual (Channel 108) - Channel Width 20/40/80Mhz

Smart WiFi - Channel Optimization Disabled

Any assistance in fixing this major problem would be much appreciated as the security alarm and cameras, as well as Hive, require a reliable WIFI connection.
