We're sorry to hear you have a hub 5x on which modem mode is not yet an available feature, we'd love to best advise however there are no updates on this matter currently.
We'll be sure to let our customers with hub 5x know of any changes or updates on the above.

It’s been updated recently to exclude 5x but also as you don’t know what your getting until install day it’s still misleading

Had my install 18th Oct. I would also like to know when Modem Mode will be available on Hub 5x.
I'm another new customer, just went live on Thursday. I'm disgusted that modem only mode is not available for such a high priced service. Your own engineer wasn't even aware you can't switch the 5x into modem only mode.

I'm sure VM will take that feedback on board and release modem mode toot suite!

Thanks for your post regarding the option to turn the Hub5x into modem mode.
With the Hub5x being a fairly new piece of kit. We do need to run trials and test the option to turn on modem mode first.
This is currently in the trial period and we hope to release it with a new firmware update. once we know it is working perfectly.
Sadly we have actual release date yet.

Hold on a minute.... Why is VM working backwards???
Surely you are supposed to make a modem/gateway device first, and then implement routing functionality if you need.
VM seems to have built an all in one modem/gateway/router abomination and is now desperately trying to remove the routing functionality?
Seems bizarre to me.
