Hub 5 will not accept router password, even after 60 sec reset

Hello - I’m experiencing problem of unable to log into after full reset - after lengthy e chats I was sent a replacement hub - and guess what still unable to log into the hub not accepting factory password - 60 sec reset no luck

spoke yet again to customer services who advised that it can take up to 72 hours before I can access hub settings - is this correct or just a ploy to get rid of me?

How can I get an engineer to sort this out

thanks

  • Sometimes the printing on the Hub 5 can be hard to define.  Try enlarging the password via a photo, and see if that makes the password clearer?

Did you leave the Hub to reboot by itself after the 60 second pinhole reset?  If you manually reboot the Hub, it will not update correctly.  The full reset can take quite a long time as it has to download the latest firmware after the reset.

Also which logon are you trying, the Wifi or Settings?  Just note they are different and not interchangeable.

The information about 72 hours is not correct, once reset the Hub will revert to passwords on the bottom of the Hub immediately.

  • Enter a trailing space at the end of the password before clicking Enter eg 12345678[space][Enter]
