Hub 5 Errors

After VM factory RESET my hub which then took it out of Modem mode into a factory reset so multiple DCHP and routing issues on Unify seeing VM WAN as 192.168.0.x. There is 1.5 days I will not get back troubleshooting - thanks VM !!

Seeing this in my log file on a Hub 5 .... guessing that VM will need to send someone out or can they fix remotely (if I can trust them to do that)

Actually no, that message is perfectly fine there’s nothing to fix.

Why and how did VM factory reset your hub?

I have no idea but they did or the box reset itself, all my equipment is in the loft (and it was not down to heat)

I suspect the OP pressed RESET on the VM Hub precipitating the situation above.

With a little bit of luck, the OP will have documented the exact steps to perform so that in his absence for what ever reasons, the family can stand a chance of getting this system back into service after another VM Hub RESET or even a VM Hub replacement.

Hi, I did not press anything, the box reset itself, all my equipment is in the loft (and it was not down to heat) so I cannot just accidently do it.

I got it working after finding the rogue DHCP and the router having to try and route 192.168.x.x that it believed was the internet address. Anyway have now re-routed 15 Cat 6 cables out of the loft to a 19" ubiquity rack downstairs so hopefully if it ever happens again I do not have to work up there again :)
