Hub 3. Confused

Hi

Will try to get thru to Virgin but last time took ages. just wondered if anyone had come across this.

In the last few days, noticed a newspaper item saying that if you have Hubs they may be eligable to upgrade the Hub as previous had issues. numbers from newspaper as below.

Hub 2 Model code arris-TG2492LG-VM    and Hub 3 Model arris-TG3492LG-VMB.

Confusion is; when i checked my Hub which on checking thru the app down as Hub 3.. but when i checked the version it does say Hub3 VMDG505  -  TG2492LG-VM, so unless the paper has screwed up in putting the wrong number down.

    Don’t take anything you read in a newspaper as ‘gospel’.

    I was promised a Hub 4 upgrade and

    They sent me a Hub 3 , not happy

      Sent a Hub 3 as a replacement for what ?

      Just noticed the other reply from Kris60.although the serial number apples to the hub 2. Which is TG-2492LG-VM on my box.is also stamped Hub3. Just to make sure this is to free upgrade to hub4.

      It might be me thinking. Virgin are using old boxes for hub3.thats the confusion.
