Hub 3 2.5ghz and 5ghz

Hi does the Hub 3 transmit 2.5ghz and 5 ghz? at the same time?

I ask because my phone only works on the 2.5 band yet I noticed last week the Amazon Firestick network settings say it's running on the 5 band ?

  • Just to clarify it's 2.4 and 5Ghz.

Yes, one SSID (Network name) is used for both bands.
Your phone should still connect on the 2.4GHz band, however, in some circumstances you may need to split the bands into two network names in the HUB settings, so you can manually choose the best band to connect to based on the device’s capabilities, distance from HUB, etc.

Log into the Hub and disable the 5Ghz band as a temp measure.  Then try your smart plugs.  Once they connect, you can re-enable the 5Ghz band.
