Hi All, Can anyone advise which homeplug is suitable for Hitron Chita. Can you mix and match homeplugs liek Devolo and TP Link or should they be the same?
Do i need wi fi extender/booster as laptop only shows a couple of bars
This is for a student flat and just want to but the right one which can connect to a deskton witha CAT 5 cable
Any help much appreciated

Why is there a VM Business hub in a student flat?
For best compatibility use the same make and model of homeplug but from experience i would advise you that unlike an ethernet cable there is no guarantee what speeds you'll get with the homeplug as it depends on the length and quality of the internal electrical wiring.
Cat 5 or better yet, cat 5e cable will be sufficient. The TP links i have came with ethernet cables, one for each powerline adapter aka homeplug and the type i went for are passthrough which means you can still plug other things into the power socket they take up.
I agree a mix and match of different makes or even speeds of Powerline extenders invites failure.
