High Jitter & Packet Loss to Riot Servers

Hi,
I’ve been experiencing “network problem” errors in Valorant despite stable ping and high speeds. I ran PingPlotter to Riot’s EU server (IP: 104.160.141.3) and noticed:

  • 0% loss/jitter inside home network
    100% loss and high jitter begins at hop 3
    Speed tests show unstable throughput and ~23ms jitter

This seems like a routing issue on Virgin’s side. Can this be escalated or checked?

    Welcome to our forums, and thank you for your post. Sorry to hear you have been having network issues while gaming. We can understand the frustration caused, and we want to best help. Just to confirm, do you get these issues only with a specific game? Is this on a wired or wireless device? Also, how long has this issue been ongoing?

      No, seems to be an unstable network via ethernet. 
      I contact Virgin Media directly via the complaints form and informed them of my investigation to get a ridicilous letter saying they found no fault within the network or with my equipment, so I rang up.

      Because my Hub3 was 8 years old, they sent out a replacement next day however have had none stop bother with it in Modem mode where the Hub3 likes to drop connection, even after activation. 

      Horrible 18 hours of constant battling however as of 10:13am, it seems stable, but not holding my breath,
