Free wifi pods on 1gb

Hi I've just upgraded to 1gb am I entitled to free wifi pods, if so do I need to contact Virgin.

Thanks

  • Yes - as I understand anyone on 1gig package is entitled to free wifi pods. You need to use the VM Connect app to scan area's with poor connection, this will then ask you to rescan on another site (samknows). The information from this site gets fed to VM and you then get the option to order a wifi pod (free of charge)

        Hi clone 👋.

How are you getting on with ordering Wi-Fi Max pods, are you in need of further assistance? I have dropped you a private message should you need to use it. Please look out for the envelope on the top right of your web browser or if you are using a mobile device, it will be located under your profile icon.

        Thanks.

The official route is to use the VM Connect App and scan your property.  When completed, the app should allow you to order the first Pod.  If this is not working, just wait here a day or two for a VM Mod to pick this up and discuss directly with you.

  • Hi clone,

Thanks for taking the time to contact us via the Community. It's lovely having you on board with us in the Forums. ⭐

The WiFi pods are only sent if needed. It's also worth noting that these can only be ordered one at a time, and only after diagnostics have been completed. As mentioned by other users, these can be ordered through the Connect App, which will advise if a WiFi pod is needed.

If you have any issues, pop back and let us know so we can help further.

    Many thanks,

    @Kath_P

Unless it's just been updated, the Connect app does not allow the user to order a pod, as reported many times on here.

jpeg1   This advice, albeit from a year or so ago, suggests it does.  Maybe the function has been removed of late?  I wouldn't know, as I use neither Pods, or the App ...

How to perform the scan and order the wifi pods when using the Connect app.

      • Tap Start the scan and then
      • While connected to WiFi, Tap "I’m ready " and then wait a couple of minutes for the scan  to complete, and then tap Continue
      • Tap Add a room, and at on the room you're in, then Start the Scan (do this in every room)
      • When the scan is complete tap Optimise WiFi now if the options shows as that will try and improve the connection in the current room
      • When it shows Optimisation complete, tap Rescan room,  tap Start Scan  and then you can click on Order a WiFi Booster if it shows as an option

I'm just going from the number of posters who have failed to order through the app and had to wait for help here.
