Fixing IP address issue Hub 3

If I change my IPV4 settings and enter a IP addresses, subnet, default gateway and preferred DNS. Eg: 192.168.0.50. 255.255.255.0. 192.168.0.1.

My wired internet goes offline for a few seconds but then says 'Network Internet Access' but the internet does not work i.e no web pages load or errors getting email. Can anyone suggest if I'm doing something wrong or is it a problem with the hub 3. Thanks.

I would expect this to work as a static IP :

    IP addresses, 192.168.0.50
    subnet,  255.255.255.0
    default gateway  192.168.0.1
    preferred DNS. 194.168.4.100 / 194.168.8.100

If your device uses DHCP one can also use the Hub 3 menu DHCP >> Reserved IP to allocate the chosen IP to the MAC of the device.

If this is a static IP I would suggest use the IP range 192.168.0.2 to  192.168.0.9 ( below the DHCP range )
or use a much higher static IP such as 192.168.0.250 so as to avoid duplicate IP issues when the DHCP server issues 192.168.0.50 to a device and is unaware that '50' is already in use.
