Disney Plus not working since upgrade to hub5

Hi since getting a new HUB5 can not get Disneyplus to load on any of my devices, handsets, tv, firestick getting error code 1026 or "page cant load" error.

When I tried to login on my handset using data (no wifi) could login so its certainly a virgin router issue. Tried everything - reinstalling apps, restarts same error everywhere. Any ideas anyone ?

thanks D.

  • Have you put the Hub 5 into modem mode? I have had the same issue for over a month and have finally figured out that this was the issue. I have not had this issue before as it has been on modem mode since I have had the router, around 4 years or so. Not sure what has changed so I assume virgin may have issued a router update without me knowing.

  • Hello Deeplay,

Welcome to the Community and thanks for taking the time to post here on the forums. I’m sorry to hear of the issues that you’re having with Disney Plus since upgrading your hub to the hub 5. Have you tried to resolve the issues with the help provided from the community members and also I know this is a silly question but I need to ask this anyway, have you tried to reboot your router since the issues started? This can sometimes resolve the issues, if you've tried this and you're still having issues we can get this looked into further from here.

    Kind Regards,

Rebooting the hub does not resolve this issue. There is an issue when putting the hub into modem mode. I have had the exact same issue with the exact same error code on Disney plus. I use a third party gaming router because the hub 5 WiFi signal is poor and I get dead spots around my house. The gaming router has solved this problem. I have retested this theory again and put my hub 5 back into modem mode and the issue with Disney plus started again. I changed it back to WiFi mode and I can access Disney plus. Please get your technical team to look into why putting the router into modem mode causes this issue.

Thank you for clarifying this. Just to confirm is the Disney + app the only one affected by modem mode? By any chance do you see any chances with other apps? We want to best understand and help.
